Terms of Service

HomeViable

Terms of Service.

The ground rules for using this site, in plain English.

Last updated: June 11, 2026

Welcome to HomeViable. These Terms of Service govern your use of homeviable.com, which is owned and operated by 201 Creative, LLC (“we,” “us”). By reading, browsing, or otherwise using the site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, the remedy is simple: do not use the site.

What This Site Is

HomeViable publishes recipes, cooking techniques, kitchen guidance, and related editorial content. Everything here is provided for general informational purposes. It is not professional advice of any kind, and you use it at your own discretion. We also sell products of our own, covered in the purchases section below.

Our Content Belongs to Us

The recipes, articles, photographs, graphics, logos, and site design on HomeViable are owned by 201 Creative, LLC or used under license, and are protected by copyright and trademark law.

You are welcome to:

  • Cook anything you find here, as often as you like.
  • Share links to our pages anywhere you want.
  • Quote brief excerpts with a credit and a link back to the original page.

You may not, without written permission:

  • Republish full recipes or articles on another website, app, or print publication.
  • Use our photographs anywhere outside this site.
  • Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download site content, including for training machine learning models.
  • Use our name or logo in a way that suggests endorsement.

A note on recipes specifically: a bare list of ingredients is not protected by copyright, but our instructions, headnotes, descriptions, and photographs are. If you adapt one of our recipes for your own publication, rewrite the directions in your own words and link to ours as the source.

Comments and Reader Submissions

If you leave a comment, a rating, or send us a recipe note, you keep ownership of what you wrote, and you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free license to display, edit, and reproduce it in connection with the site. You agree your submissions will not contain anything unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or spammy. We moderate comments and may edit or remove any submission at our sole discretion, with or without explanation.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the site to do any of the following: interfere with its operation or security, probe or breach its access controls, impersonate another person, transmit malware, or collect information about other users. Automated access beyond ordinary search engine indexing requires our written permission.

Cooking Involves Real Knives and Real Heat

Recipes involve sharp tools, open flames, hot surfaces, raw proteins, and allergens. We test our recipes, but conditions in your kitchen differ from conditions in ours. You are responsible for safe food handling, for verifying doneness temperatures, for checking ingredients against your own allergies and dietary requirements, and for supervising anyone you let near the stove. Nothing on this site is medical or nutritional advice; consult a qualified professional for dietary guidance specific to you.

Purchases from Us

HomeViable sells digital and physical products, including the Techniques course and kitchen goods. Specific terms presented at checkout, including delivery and refund terms, apply to each purchase and control over this section where they differ.

For the Techniques course: your purchase creates a member account and grants you a personal, non-transferable license to access the course materials for your own use. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Sharing credentials, downloading or redistributing course videos, or reselling access is not permitted and may result in revocation of access. Course videos are streamed through a third-party hosting service, and playback requires that service to be reachable from your device.

For physical products: risk of loss passes to you on delivery to the carrier, and any warranty terms are stated with the product at purchase.

Advertising and Affiliate Relationships

The site is supported by advertising and affiliate commissions, including participation in the Amazon Associates Program. Our Disclaimer page describes these relationships in detail, including the required program disclosures. We do not control the content of third-party advertisements and are not responsible for the products or services they promote.

Links to Other Sites

We link to outside websites when they are useful. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, and we are not responsible for what happens there.

No Warranties

The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not promise the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, 201 Creative, LLC and its owners, employees, and contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the site or its content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us to use the site, which is zero.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless 201 Creative, LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the site.

Copyright Complaints

We respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices that comply with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act. If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a notice through our contact page including: identification of the copyrighted work, the URL of the allegedly infringing material, your contact information, a statement of good faith belief, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you are authorized to act for the copyright owner.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in San Diego County, California.

Changes and Termination

We may update these terms at any time by posting the revised version here with a new date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it. We may suspend or terminate access to the site, or any feature of it, at any time.
